Football Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however will the English top division leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's new record, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Football and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I will not force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football side," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a period too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this fixture will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's only on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.
So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.
My son advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
Fulham have got plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.
However I am not do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

This is a hard one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
